So I don’t know about you, but today there is plenty to be anxious about. It feels like the whole world is holding it’s collective breath. As someone passionate about Empowering Women, it seemed a must that I say a little something about this historic election day. This isn’t about trying to sway your vote. It’s about taking a moment, just to acknowledge the awesomeness of finally having the option to vote for a woman president.
Part of me forgets sometimes and it seems no big deal, probably because this really shouldn’t have taken so long. But then I remember to pause and really let it sink in. My grandmothers at one point did not have the right to vote, and now we have the option to vote for a woman. Play a little inspirational music with that and all of a sudden I’m a little teary eyed. Don’t undervalue the importance of this moment!
And so to help with easing the stress and anxiety today, I wanted to share with you a little video I took when I was in Italy a few weeks ago. For me this is all about joy, connection, celebration, fun, family and love. And I believe it is so important for these things to spread all over the world.
