The other day my sister asked me, "do you ever stop and think about what you've created for yourself" (re: my business)? The question has been sitting with me for days, because the honest answer is no.
I don't often think about how far I've come. From being a young mama in my 20's struggling to find my way in the world. Working my way out of the welfare system that saved my butt. To creating my own thriving business where I get to work with the most inspiring, kick-ass women everyday helping them to learn how to step into their own awesomeness.
And I realize that if I'm not willing to "let my own light shine" as Marianne Williamson says, then who am I to ask these women to shine their bright lights?
How often do you take a moment to pat yourself on the back for all the amazing things you do in your life? If you are like me and the answer is "not often" how about you join me in doing something different today? Let's celebrate our awesomeness together!!
I'll go first... In my 20's I had a huge amount of courage, in my 30's a boat load of tenacity and in my 40's I am learning to embrace the wisdom I've gained over the years.
Now it's your turn...SHINE YOUR FREAKING LIGHT! Reply to this post and tell me about how awesome you are. Tell a friend. Tell your significant other. Tell the grocery store clerk!!
"Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you".
More than ever, we need everyone to shine their lights. Don't wait. Shine your light. Celebrate your story. BE YOU. We need you.
